Escape to Rottnest this August for a restorative island weekend designed to reconnect you with nature, movement and stillness.

The Wild State Weekender
There is something different about Rottnest Island in winter.
The crowds thin, the air sharpens, and the island slows into a quieter rhythm. The Wild State Weekender has been designed to immerse guests in this version of Rottnest – through movement, recovery, connection and time spent in nature.
Across three days, guests will explore some of the island’s most breathtaking coastal trails with Hike Collective, experiencing guided walks through limestone ridgelines, salt lakes, dune systems and the wild western coastline. Designed around the concept of “place prescription”, the experience encourages guests to slow down, disconnect from routine, and reconnect with themselves through nature.
What’s included:
- Two nights at Samphire Rottnest in a Poolside King Suite, solo occupancy
- Return ferry transfer from Fremantle
- Two breakfasts at Lontara
- Family-style sharing dinner at Lontara on Saturday evening
- Set dinner at Hotel Rottnest on Sunday evening
- Daily guided walks of up to 10km each, designed around Place Prescription
- Daily mindfulness session and journalling practice
- The Hike Collective welcome kit
- Lead guide on-island for the full weekend
As part of Samphire’s Month of Wellness this August, the weekend has been intentionally curated to balance exposure and recovery – cold ocean air and coastal walks paired with warm showers, comfortable spaces, thoughtful hospitality and restorative food.
Whether you’re seeking stillness, adventure, clarity or simply a few days to reset, The Wild State Weekender offers an opportunity to experience Rottnest Island differently.
