It’s time to immerse yourself in the elements, feel the sand between your toes, breathe in the salt air and explore the unique native beauty of Rottnest Island. Here’s some information about your accommodation, it’s amenities and how to get the most out of your stay.
Our precious environment
Rottnest Island is an Class A Reserve, and it’s our home. We want to protect and nurture the island for our guests and all future generations. Please respect all flora & fauna, on land and in the water. Take only pictures, and leave only footprints, and please stay
on the paths provided.
Quokkas
Samphire Rottnest is fenced for your security, but also for the protection of the local fauna. Quokkas can get into tricky and dangerous circumstances amongst the different levels of the property, the fenced areas and the pool area. Try not to let them in and if you find a quokka inside, please alert our staff. To keep quokkas healthy, please don’t touch them, don’t give them food or water, and enjoy watching them on their own terms.
Please visit rottnestisland.com for more information on protecting our beautiful island.
